SilverFox InControl – Privacy Policy
SilverFox InControl ("the app") lets you operate other apps on your Android device, such as navigation apps, with the SilverFox handlebar controller. The app is published by Pietilä Subcon Oy (SilverFox Controllers), Finland ("we").
In short: the app does not collect, store on our servers, sell or share any personal data. Everything the app needs stays on your device.
Accessibility Service
The app uses Android's Accessibility Service API. This is needed for the app's core function: operating other apps with the handlebar controller. With your permission, the service:
- receives the button presses of the SilverFox controller;
- performs the taps, pans and zooms you have calibrated, in the app currently on screen;
- identifies which app is on screen (its package name), so that the right calibration is used;
- shows the F1/F2 mode indicator on top of other apps;
- during calibration only, takes a temporary screenshot to show a magnifier. The screenshot is kept in memory only for the duration of the calibration and is never saved or transmitted.
The service does not read what you type, does not read text or other content of other apps, and does not send any information obtained through the Accessibility Service off the device. The app shows an explanation of this and asks for your consent before you are taken to the Android accessibility settings. You can turn the service off at any time in Android's accessibility settings.
Data stored on your device
The app stores its settings locally on your device: calibrated touch points per app, the apps selected for the F1/F2 modes, sensitivity, pan and zoom settings, the selected language, the controller model and whether you have accepted the in-app safety notice. To let you choose apps for F1/F2, the app reads the list of installed apps on the device; this list is not stored beyond the selections you make and is never transmitted.
If Android's own backup is enabled on your device, these settings may be included in the backup that Android makes to your Google account. That backup is managed by Google and you, not by us.
Bluetooth
The app connects to the SilverFox controller over Bluetooth Low Energy to receive button presses and to read the controller's battery level and firmware version. On Android 11 and older, Android requires the location permission for Bluetooth scanning; the app does not use it to determine your location. On Android 12 and newer, location is not requested.
Internet connections
The app connects to the internet only to check for and download firmware updates for the SilverFox controller. It fetches a version file and, when you choose to update, the firmware file from GitHub (github.com and raw.githubusercontent.com). The version of the app distributed outside Google Play also checks GitHub in the same way for new versions of the app itself. No personal data is sent in these requests. As with any internet request, GitHub receives your device's IP address; see GitHub's privacy statement.
The app contains no advertising, analytics, crash reporting or other third-party tracking libraries, and it does not use any account or sign-in.
Notifications
The notification permission is used only to show a status bar icon while the controller service is active.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly process any data about children.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or hold personal data about you, there is no data for us to access, correct or delete. You can remove all data stored by the app by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. If you believe your data protection rights have been infringed, you can contact the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.

SilverFox InControl – Tietosuojaseloste
SilverFox InControl ("sovellus") mahdollistaa Android-laitteen muiden sovellusten, kuten navigointisovellusten, käytön SilverFox-ohjaimella. Sovelluksen julkaisija on Pietilä Subcon Oy (SilverFox Controllers), Suomi ("me").
Lyhyesti: sovellus ei kerää henkilötietoja, ei tallenna niitä palvelimillemme, ei myy eikä jaa niitä. Kaikki sovelluksen tarvitsema tieto pysyy laitteellasi.
Esteettömyyspalvelu
Sovellus käyttää Androidin esteettömyyspalvelua (Accessibility Service API). Sitä tarvitaan sovelluksen päätoimintoon eli muiden sovellusten käyttämiseen ohjaimella. Luvallasi palvelu:
- vastaanottaa SilverFox-ohjaimen näppäinpainallukset;
- tekee kalibroimasi napautukset, siirrot ja zoomaukset ruudulla olevassa sovelluksessa;
- tunnistaa, mikä sovellus on ruudulla (sen pakettinimen), jotta oikea kalibrointi on käytössä;
- näyttää F1/F2-tilamerkin muiden sovellusten päällä;
- ottaa ainoastaan kalibroinnin aikana väliaikaisen kuvakaappauksen suurennuslasia varten. Kuvakaappaus on vain muistissa kalibroinnin ajan, eikä sitä tallenneta tai lähetetä.
Palvelu ei lue kirjoittamaasi tekstiä eikä muiden sovellusten tekstiä tai muuta sisältöä, eikä se lähetä esteettömyyspalvelun kautta saatuja tietoja laitteelta. Sovellus kertoo tämän ja pyytää suostumuksesi ennen kuin sinut ohjataan Androidin esteettömyysasetuksiin. Voit kytkeä palvelun pois milloin tahansa Androidin esteettömyysasetuksista.
Laitteelle tallennettavat tiedot
Sovellus tallentaa asetuksensa paikallisesti laitteellesi: sovelluskohtaiset kalibroidut kosketuspisteet, F1/F2-tiloihin valitut sovellukset, herkkyys-, siirto- ja zoomausasetukset, kielivalinnan, ohjaimen mallin sekä tiedon siitä, oletko hyväksynyt sovelluksen turvallisuusilmoituksen. Jotta voit valita F1/F2-tilojen sovellukset, sovellus lukee laitteeseen asennettujen sovellusten luettelon. Luetteloa ei tallenneta valintojesi lisäksi eikä sitä lähetetä minnekään.
Jos Androidin oma varmuuskopiointi on laitteellasi päällä, nämä asetukset voivat sisältyä Androidin Google-tilillesi tekemään varmuuskopioon. Varmuuskopiota hallinnoivat Google ja sinä, eivät me.
Bluetooth
Sovellus muodostaa Bluetooth Low Energy -yhteyden SilverFox-ohjaimeen vastaanottaakseen näppäinpainallukset ja lukeakseen ohjaimen akun varaustason ja laiteohjelmiston version. Android 11:ssä ja vanhemmissa Android vaatii Bluetooth-skannaukseen sijaintiluvan; sovellus ei käytä sitä sijaintisi selvittämiseen. Android 12:ssa ja uudemmissa sijaintilupaa ei pyydetä.
Internetyhteydet
Sovellus käyttää internetiä ainoastaan SilverFox-ohjaimen laiteohjelmistopäivitysten tarkistamiseen ja lataamiseen. Se hakee versiotiedoston ja, jos päätät päivittää, laiteohjelmistotiedoston GitHubista (github.com ja raw.githubusercontent.com). Google Playn ulkopuolella jaettava sovellusversio tarkistaa samalla tavalla GitHubista myös sovelluksen omat uudet versiot. Pyynnöissä ei lähetetä henkilötietoja. Kuten kaikissa internetpyynnöissä, GitHub näkee laitteesi IP-osoitteen; ks. GitHubin tietosuojaseloste.
Sovelluksessa ei ole mainoksia, analytiikkaa, virheraportointia eikä muita kolmannen osapuolen seurantakirjastoja, eikä se käytä käyttäjätiliä tai kirjautumista.
Ilmoitukset
Ilmoituslupaa käytetään ainoastaan tilarivin kuvakkeen näyttämiseen, kun ohjainpalvelu on käynnissä.
Lapset
Sovellusta ei ole suunnattu lapsille, eikä se tietoisesti käsittele lapsia koskevia tietoja.
Oikeutesi
Koska emme kerää emmekä säilytä sinua koskevia henkilötietoja, meillä ei ole tietoja, joita voisit tarkastaa, korjata tai poistaa. Voit poistaa kaikki sovelluksen tallentamat tiedot tyhjentämällä sovelluksen tallennustilan tai poistamalla sovelluksen. Jos katsot, että tietosuojaoikeuksiasi on loukattu, voit ottaa yhteyttä tietosuojavaltuutetun toimistoon (tietosuoja.fi).
Muutokset
Jos tätä selostetta muutetaan, päivitetty versio julkaistaan tällä sivulla uudella voimaantulopäivällä.
